About Me
Capture the Unseen is my tagline for a simple reason: I enjoy talking to everyone, understanding as much as I can, and capturing as many small and unseen details as possible.
I was born in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania, just above Philadelphia. I’ve always had a fascination with politics and the arts, which led me to study Political Science, Spanish, and Literature at American University. About halfway through my junior year, I recognized the importance of teaching and started working towards attending graduate school to become a middle school teacher.
During my time at AU, I studied abroad in Santiago, Chile, where I began to take photography seriously: studying techniques, fellow artists, and practicing my skill. With a broken FujiFilm DSLR, I travelled to San Pedro de Atacama, Rapa Nui, Puerto Varas, Valparaíso, and to Mendoza (Argentina) and Cusco (Perú).
Upon my return, I travelled around the Philadelphia area, then to DC and around Virginia taking photos of landscapes, wildlife, and street. My favorite shots are from Virginia Beach, Puerto Varas, and around Richmond. My absolute favorite trip was to the San Pedro de Atacama, or the very north of Chile (see Flamingos).
