My name is Noah Gocial
I am a recent graduate of American University and currently working in Philadelphia as a Constituent Services Advisor. I currently appear in MONAD and A Community Art Gallery.
Photography started to take root in my life when I went to Iceland with National Geographic in 2019; however I soon dropped my camera for other interests. Only when I studied abroad in Chile in 2024 had my interest sprouted.
Now, I can barely imagine a time I hadn’t carried my camera everywhere I went. Being located in Philadelphia, there is so much beauty people just don’t see. Much of my art tries to capture these hidden details.
I also take portraits (grad, family photos), wildlife, natural landscapes, and monochrome.
I currently shoot with OM-System, OMD-EM1 Mark II. My time in Chile, Peru, and Argentina was with Fujifilm.

16” x 20” photo of a dog in Puerto Montt, Chile, with 2” white matte and a mahogany frame (20" x 24")
I saw this stoic dog surrounded by myriad other dignified, diligent, and disgusting dogs that followed me throughout the area near the Catholic Cemetery in the heart of the city. It continued to look at me and, when I got close enough to pet it, I saw how disgusting it’s fur was—and how it didn’t care.

I was walking down Girard in Brewerytown and saw a payphone (in 2026!) and immediately knew I what I wanted: a photo of someone looking right at me through the window, with the payphone plainly in sight. A technical challenge, this shot took me about an hour.
